Reforestation Initiative
Restoring Green Spaces for a More Sustainable Future
June 21st 2026Global Humanity’s reforestation and tree planting initiative is an ongoing environmental project focused on restoring green spaces, supporting biodiversity, and encouraging long-term climate responsibility. Through this initiative, we aim to contribute to healthier ecosystems while promoting community participation in environmental protection.
The project is built around the importance of planting trees, protecting natural areas, and restoring spaces that have been affected by urban expansion, pollution, wildfires, or environmental degradation. By increasing green cover, the initiative supports cleaner air, healthier soil, improved biodiversity, and more resilient local environments.
Since the peak tree-planting season in Lebanon takes place during autumn and winter, the project is currently in its planning and preparation phase. We are working on identifying suitable planting locations, coordinating with communities and partners, preparing volunteers, and developing the right framework to ensure that the initiative is carried out responsibly and sustainably.
The initiative will also focus on awareness and education, encouraging volunteers and communities to understand the importance of trees beyond planting day. Proper care, watering, follow-up, and long-term maintenance are essential to making sure that planted trees survive and grow into lasting green spaces.
By autumn 2026 and throughout the 2026–2027 planting season, we aim to be ready to begin planting activities across targeted areas. The project will bring together volunteers, local partners, and community members to take part in a meaningful environmental effort that supports both people and nature.
Through the Reforestation Initiative, we continue its mission to create cleaner communities, restore natural spaces, and inspire collective action for a greener and more sustainable Lebanon.
